Zionist forces attack Land Day protesters

18af46ccdeda763dee09fe29203c2bd2_LZionist forces have attacked Palestinian demonstrators in the occupied West Bank and Gaza on the 37th anniversary of Land Day, injuring dozens of protesters.

According to Press TV, clashes broke out in the village of Jayyus on Saturday after Zionist troops fired teargas canisters at hundreds of Palestinians who wanted to plant trees in agricultural lands in commemoration of Land Day. Several people were injured in the attack.
Similar scuffles erupted at Qalandiya checkpoint in the West Bank city of Ramallah, where Zionist forces fired tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse protesters. Several protesters were also wounded in the incident.
March 30 is commemorated every year because of a deadly incident on that day in 1976 in which Zionist troops martyred six Palestinians during a protest against the Zionist occupation of the Palestinian lands.
Palestinian activists also marched on the Zionist regime’s apartheid barrier. A similar rally was held in the town of Sakhnin.
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip also commemorated the annual event near the Erez crossing and the city of Beit Hanun in the north, while in Khan Yunis they planted olive trees.
In Rafah, in the south of the strip, more than 500 Palestinians participated in a rally during which Zionist forces fired tear gas and injured several people.
