zionist Forces Shoot Palestinian Protesters, Raid Homes

Clashes have broken out between Palestinians and Israeli occupation forces in the occupied West Bank village of Nabi Saleh during a demonstration against the expansion of Israeli settlements.IOF

Heavily-armed Israeli soldiers raided the village on Friday afternoon, targeting houses and unarmed demonstrators by tear gas, coated metal bullets and sound bombs.

Several people were shot and injured by the Israeli forces, including two journalists and a woman. A video uploaded by a local activist shows that the woman, Manal Tamimi, was shot at close range.

Dozens of protesters were also injured due to inhalation of tear gas during the clashes.

On Thursday, Israeli forces also raided several Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank, arresting at least nine people.

An Israeli official announced on Friday that Tel Aviv will reveal plans next week to build 1,400 settler units in the occupied West Bank after releasing a group of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.

The United Nations and most countries regarded the Israeli settlements as illegal.
