Zionist Occupation arrests two citizens and shot another in al-Khalil

The occupation authorities arrested at dawn today two citizens from al-Khalil and Bethlehem, and shot another in the town of Dura in al-Khalil in the southern West Bank.

Local sources said that the occupation soldiers arrested a young man from Bethlehem and another from the town of al-Dhahiriya south of al-Khalil, after raiding and searching their houses.

Another 22-year-old Palestinian youth was wounded on Saturday evening with Israeli bullets in the abdomen, during clashes that had erupted between the citizens and soldiers in the town of Dura, south of al-Khalil.

Meanwhile, confrontations took place between the residents of the village of Urif, south of the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank, and the occupation forces which stormed the village, on Saturday afternoon.

The villagers said that the occupation troops attacked the village after an incursion by a number of settlers from the “Yitzhar” settlement, established on the village’s land.

The soldiers fired tear gas towards the protesters which resulted in the suffocation of a number of civilians.

This is not the first time in which the IOF storms Urif, as the village has been subjected, since several months to repeated break-ins by the settlers who have been attacking the people and destroying the agricultural crops.

The settlers had also tried to burn Al-Mourabitoun mosque in the village, two weeks ago, and had attacked the village school.

Meanwhile, Rateb al Jabour, the coordinator of the “Popular Committee Against the settlement” in the town of Yatta, told “Quds Press” agency that Israeli soldiers blocked the road preventing a group of Palestinian farmers from reaching their lands in the area “Qawawis” near the settlement of “Ovijal”, built on the lands of the town of Yatta, south of the city of al-Khalil, and forced them to return to their homes.

The farmers were heading to their lands for plowing and planting them after the occupation Supreme Court issued a decision allowing them to enter the lands of which they had confirmed ownership.
