Zionist Occupation threatens to cut off West Bank electricity

Slaughterer Israeli energy minister Uzi Landau threatened to cut off power to Palestinian villages in the occupied West Bank due to PA’s failure to pay funds due to the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC).

Landau sent a “strongly worded” letter to the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz for giving the PA a period to accumulate the unpaid power bills, Israel’s Channel 2 confirmed.

Palestinians across the West Bank could be left without electricity unless NIS 700 million ($175 million) of unpaid power bills are sorted out, Energy and Water Resources Minister Uzi Landau said on Monday.

Landau pointed out in his letter that no steps were taken to pay the PA’s bills, saying that Netanyahu bears the responsible for the Palestinians’ procrastination.

“I will instruct IEC to take all necessary steps to collect these debts, with all the implications that may arise,” Landau wrote.
