Zionist regime doubles number of Lebanese airspace violations

In blatant defiance of a UN Security Council resolution, the Zionist regime has doubled the number of its violations of the Lebanese airspace so far this year compared to the same period in 2012.

According to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) sources, unusual Israeli regime flight patterns in Lebanon’s skies have been recorded on several occasions.
The report added that the unusually high rate of Zionist regime’s aircraft activity in the Lebanese airspace illustrates the level of tension on both sides of the Lebanon-Israel border, largely generated by the crisis in Syria.
On Sunday, five Zionist regime military aircrafts penetrated Lebanese airspace and flew over several areas of the country.
A Zionist regime unmanned aerial vehicle entered the Lebanese airspace over the southern border village of Kfar Kila, located 96 kilometers (59 miles) south of Beirut, at 10:15 a.m. local time (0815 GMT).
The remote-controlled aircraft carried out surveillance flights over several areas in southern Lebanon, including the towns of Riyaq and Baalbek, before it left the country’s airspace at 3:50 p.m. local time (1350 GMT) while flying over the southern village of al-Naqoura, situated 91 kilometers (57 miles) south of Beirut.
In 2009, Lebanon filed a complaint with the United Nations, presenting over 7,000 documents pertaining to Zionist regime’s violations of Lebanese territory.
