Zionist Server Bahraini Authorities Arrest Activist Zainab Al-Khawaja Again

The daughter of prominent Bahraini opposition activist Abdel Hadi al-Khawaja and 40 other people were arrested early on Friday, hours after security forces used tear gas and birdshot to disperse hundreds of protesters demanding political reforms.
Human rights activist, Zainab al-Khawaja, was yet again arrested Friday when she was protesting alone in al-Qadam roundabout.

The head of the Bahrain Youth Society for Human Rights, Mohammed al-Maskati, said “activist Zainab al-Khawaja was arrested early on Friday when she tried to hold a solitary protest sit-in close to the capital Manama.”
Al-Khawaja was then handcuffed, dragged on the ground and down the stairs, after which she was placed inside a police vehicle. She was then moved to the Fort Prison Hospital and then moved to Isa Town Detention Center.

“From the information we have managed to gather from lawyers and the families of protesters, at least 40 others have been arrested as well,” al-Maskati said, adding that police had used tear gas to disperse the protesters.
“All three protests were heavily crushed as tear gas and birdshot was used with reports of at least 40 to 45 people being injured,” al-Maskati said, adding that injuries ranged from slight to serious.

This is one of many times in which al-Khawaja has been arrested for merely practicing her right to protest.
