Slaughterer Israel beefs up its military measures along its border with Egypt as Egyptian troops engage armed groups in Sinai Peninsula.

Tel Aviv says it has installed rocket launchers near the Sinai Peninsula to counter possible attacks from militants fighting the Egyptian government in the Peninsula.

The Israeli military has also deployed the Iron Dome missile system in several areas on Egypt’s border.

Earlier this month, the Egyptian army launched a major offensive against militants in Sinai.

The Sinai Peninsula has witnessed several instances of violence since Egyptian president, Mohamed Morsi, was ousted.

On July 3, the Egyptian army announced that Morsi was no longer in office and declared the next day that the head of the Supreme Constitutional Court, Adly Mansour, had been appointed as the new interim president.

On July 13, Egypt’s security officials said unknown gunmen had attacked el-Arish International Airport with rocket-propelled grenades.

A day earlier on July 12, militants assaulted a police armored vehicle at a security checkpoint in Sinai Peninsula. A policeman was killed in the offensive and a police conscript was also injured, the officials said.

On July 10, an army spokesman said the car of a top military commander “came under heavy fire, which led to clashes between security forces and the terrorist elements,” in the volatile peninsula.

Over 100 people have been killed in an unrelenting wave of violent clashes between Morsi supporters, his opponents, and security forces since the president was ousted by the military and put under “preventive” arrest.
