An Iraqi Friday prayer leader denounced Saudi Arabia for its vicious ambitions regarding Bahrain and stressed transmission of Islamic Awakening to Saudi Arabia to be certain.

Hujjat-ol-Islam Sheikh Jalal al-Din Saqir, Friday prayer leader of Kadhimiya, Iraq said the objective of Saudi Arabia in unifying with Bahrain was to “devour the country” and degrade the nation, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

In his weekly sermon during the Friday prayer, he warned against outcomes of Bahrain-Saudi merger plan and said, “This move aims at devouring Bahrain and degrade its nation amid the silence of the international bodies.”

He added, “What is happening in the region will certainly transfer to Saudi Arabia and the crimes of Al-Saud will certainly backlash to them.”

He said the end for Bahrain annex to Saudi Arabia will be massacre of the people and stressed, “Once Bahrain merges with Saudi Arabia under the title of unification, then hundreds of thousands of excommunicators will pour into this country and a sectarian conflict and massacre of both Shia and Sunni citizens will be inevitable.”

He highlighted transmission of Islamic Awakening to Saudi Arabia to be inevitable and called the people to be vigil and stay against the plan for merging Bahrain to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Iraqi cleric warned Bahrain ruler to carefully ponder the plan due to predictable internal clashes in Saudi Arabia when the ruler will not be able to face the people for selling the country for such a cheap price.

Senior Member of the Supreme Parliament in Iraq recommended Bahraini King to go back to its nation because dealing Bahrain for such a low price will not be justifiable for the people.
