Iraqi Forces, PMF Engage in Fierce Clashes with ISIL Terrorists in Tal Afar

 

Iraqi forces, backed by Popular Mobilization Forces (known as Hashd Shaabi), engaged on Friday in fierce clashes with ISIL terrorists in Tal Afar, the last stronghold of the Takfiri group in northern Iraq.

In the sixth day of “Tal Afar, We’re Coming” Operation, Hashd Shaabi media office announced that the allied forces “have liberated wide areas in Saylo Tal Afar west of Tal Afar province,” noting that the “entire area will be liberated in the coming hours.”

“Our forces, backed by Iraqi air force, engage in fierce clashes with the terrorists in the western front of Tal Afar,” the Hashd’s media office added.

Earlier, Iraqi media reported that the allied forces liberated Mshairfeh town, west of Mhalbeyeh which lies to the east of Tal Afar.

Iraqi media also reported that Iraqi forces and Hashd volunteer fighters have finalized liberation of Wahda neighborhood, and preparing to storm Rabih neighborhood in Tal Afar’s center.
