Hanini: Battles in Gaza, Jenin prove futility of attempts to eradicate resistance

Senior Hamas official Abdul-Hakim Hanini has said that the fierce battles in Gaza and Jenin and the valor of the resistance there prove to everyone far and wide once again that attempts to eradicate the resistance are an illusion that will not be achieved.

Hanini asserted in a press statement on Tuesday that the Palestinian resistance is presenting something new every day in terms of its ability to confront the Israeli aggression and its invading forces, and to defend its homeland and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to prepare for all scenarios, whatever the cost.

He stressed that the long years of preparation in training fields were not in vain, referring to the resistance’s high-level capability for maneuver and surprising the enemy in all regions.

Hanini called on the masses of the Palestinian people to continue mobilization and vigilance to confront the attacks of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and its settlers, to remain steadfast in the face of all conspiracies to liquidate the Palestinian cause, and to trust their ability to overcome challenges and crises along the way of freedom and liberation.

The Hamas senior official hailed the people in Jenin and its refugee camp for their legendary steadfastness, and the resistance, led by the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, for their courage and valor in repelling the Israeli aggression.

The IOF has continued its large-scale military campaign in Jenin and its refugee camp, during which they arrested a number of young men, while bombing a site in Al-Sibat neighborhood in the old city of Jenin, and blowing up a house in Jourat al-Dahab neighborhood in the camp.

Violent confrontations and clashes broke out between the Israeli forces and the resistance fighters, who targeted IOF’s vehicles with homemade bombs and fired bullets at the soldiers as they were advancing into the city.

The IOF deployed more military reinforcements from Salem refugee camp to Jenin and its camp, while raiding a number of districts in the area carrying out sabotage operations on the streets and citizens’ property, vandalizing commercial shops and destroying their facades.

The IOF surrounded the city’s hospitals and impeded the movement of medical teams and first aid, in an escalating policy of hindering the work of medical teams, which is considered an international war crime.

Israeli bulldozers leveled several roads in the vicinity of the Jenin camp, vandalized the infrastructure, and destroyed several vehicles.

Four Palestinians were martyred during the IOF raid in Jenin this morning.
