Scores of al-Nusra Front’s members, including the commander of Omar bin al-Khattab Battalion, were killed in heavy clashes with the Syrian Army in Atman town in the Northern side of Dara’a city.

Omar Saed al-Najjar alongside many Nusra militants were killed in the Syrian army’s raid on their positions in Atman.

The terrorist group acknowledged on their social networking websites the death of a number of their members, including al-Najjar.

On Wednesday, the Syrian army announced that dozens of al-Nusra Front terrorists have been killed in government forces’ offensive on the groups’ positions in Dara’a al-Balad in the Southern parts of Dara’a city.

The army said that the government forces stormed the defense lines of the al-Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front in Dara’a al-Balad neighborhood, which left scores of the terrorists dead or wounded.

Several military vehicles of the Nusra militants were also destroyed by the army men in the Southeastern side of the city’s main post building.
