IRGC starts to replicate RQ170

IRGC aerospace experts started to replicate a US RQ170 spy drone that was landed almost intact in October 2011, commander of the aerospace center, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizada told Mehr News Agency.

The experts were also on the final stages of a project to decode the fully-encrypted data of the stealth stranger.

In October 2011, the US spy plane was intending to cross the Iranian aerial space east of the country for a secret spy mission, being however in full dark that a seasoned team of Iranian experts was lurking for the unmanned infiltrator.

It was known only after being landed that the 26-m wide plane was fitted with super advanced systems for data collection. The stealth flight also commanded latest US-developed technology for reconnaissance flights.

Brigadier Hajizada was speaking on April 21, the 33rd anniversary of the IRGC establishment.
