Foreign minister returns to Tehran
Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, who visited Tunisia upon an invitation from his Tunisian counterpart, returned to Tehran on Wednesday morning.
During his 2-day visit to Tunis, Salehi discussed issues of mutual interest with President Moncef al-Marzouki, Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali, Head of Constituent Assembly Mustafa bin Jaafar, Foreign Minister Rafik Abdessalem, Commerce and Handicrafts Minister Bechir al-Zaafouri and Head of Tunisia’s Islamic Party al-Nehza Rashid al-Ghanoushi.
In the meetings, Salehi and Tunisian senior officials discussed ways of expanding ties between the two countries as well as international and regional issues.
