Zionist israeli forces have detained some 30 more Palestinians in the occupied West Bank as part of Tel Aviv’s week-long search campaign to find three allegedly abducted settlers.

According to the Israeli army, the detainees were arrested overnight on Wednesday.

Two of the detainees were arrested in a raid on the Bir Zeit University near Ramallah.

The latest arrests bring the total number of Palestinians in custody to 280 since Thursday when Israel said the three Israeli settlers were abducted in al-Khalil (Hebron).

The zionist regime army says 200 of the detainees are from Hamas.

Zionist regime forces also clashed with residents of the northern cities of Jenin and Nablus and opened fire on them.

Zionist regime Israeli Finance Minister Naftali Bennett said search operations will continue in the West Bank until the Israelis are found.

Zionist regime forces have recently detained ten members of the Palestinian parliament as well as the manager of a television channel run by Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas.

The Israelis have also demolished several Hamas institutions in the West Bank, including buildings belonging to the Palestinian resistance movement in the town of Idhna in al-Khalil.

Tel Aviv has accused Hamas of kidnapping the three Israelis, who the regime claims went missing in the West Bank last week.

However, Hamas rejects the claim, saying Tel Aviv seeks to sabotage the recent reconciliation accord reached between the movement and Fatah, which led to the formation of the Palestinian national unity government earlier this month.

In a statement issued on Monday, Hamas strongly condemned Israel’s recent arrests in the occupied Palestinian territories, saying the “cowardly” move is a “flagrant violation of all international conventions.”
