The judiciary system would no doubt punish those behind the recent terrorist attack in southeastern Iran, Mozaffar Alvandi, an advisor to the Iranian Justice Minister, said here on Saturday, underlining that no terrorist or criminal can escape the law in Iran.

“We will treat the arrogant and terrorist elements of Sistan and Balouchestan (terrorist attack) according to the law,” Alvandi told FNA.

At least 42 people, including seven ranking commanders of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), lost their lives in a terrorist attack during a unity conference between Sunni and Shiite tribal leaders last Sunday in the city of Sarbaz in the borderline region of Pishin in Iran’s southeastern Sistan and Baluchistan province.

The Jundollah terrorist group, led by Abdolmalek Rigi, has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Alvandi underlined that the arrogant powers and their mercenaries have conducted the terrorist attack as they are afraid of Muslim unity and solidarity.

Certainly, the Judiciary and Justice Ministry are waiting for the elements behind the terrorist attack to be arrested and transferred to them, he added.

Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) ground force Brigadier General Nourali Shoushtari, Sistan and Balouchestan province’s IRGC Commander General Rajabali Mohammadzadeh, Iranshahr Corps commander, Sarbaz Corps commander and Amiralmoemenin Brigade commander were among the senior military officials martyred in the Sunday attack.
