Southern Syria: Terrorists Establish Military Training Camp at Border with Israel
ISIL-affiliated Jeish Khalid Bin Walid terrorist group has been training its gunmen in a camp known as Abu Hashim in Southwestern Dara’a a few kilometers away from the border with Israel.
Abu Hashim was a regional ISIL emir that was assassinated last year.
ISIL is in control of a small pocket of some 20 villages and towns that neighbor the border with both Israel and Jordan.
People in the occupied parts of Syria’s Golan Heights held a protest to condemn what they called Israel’s support for anti-Damascus terrorists.
The demonstrators accused Israel of backing the al-Qaeda-linked Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board), during its assault on the government-held town of Hader in Quneitra province.
Israeli forces were deployed to the area to disperse the protesters.
