2 Palestinians Fatally Shot, 7 Injured in New Zionist Raid in West Bank

Two Palestinian people were tragically killed and seven others were wounded by the Israeli occupation forces during a raid on Balata refugee camp near the occupied West Bank city of Nablus. This incident is a result of the Israeli regime's ongoing aggression against Palestinians in Gaza.

On Saturday, the Palestinian Information Center reported that casualties had occurred as a result of the Israeli occupation forces storming the Balata refugee camp and shooting live ammunition at the Palestinian residents inside a house.

According to Palestinian media, a group of “undercover” special forces, accompanied by Israeli soldiers, surrounded a house in the al-Jamasin neighborhood in the center of the camp. Reports indicate that snipers were spotted on the roofs of nearby houses, which sparked a series of confrontations.

Earlier, the occupation forces shut down the entrances to the camp, and then proceeded to use violence, involving intense shooting of bullets and launching of tear gas canisters.

Israeli fighter planes have launched strikes against multiple sites in the Gaza Strip.

Early Saturday morning, Israeli fighter jets conducted another series of air strikes on multiple sites in the Gaza Strip, making this the fifth day in a row that Israel has bombarded the besieged area.

The Wafa news agency, which is based in Palestine, reported that Israeli aircraft fired missiles at a five-story structure owned by the family of Baha Abu Atta, a former commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement that was assassinated in the year 2019. This building is located in Shujaiya, east of Gaza, and another home situated in Yarmouk, which is a part of central Gaza City, was also targeted.

Wafa reported that the house located in the Yarmouk area of Gaza was destroyed by a missile fired from a drone, followed by two missiles from a warplane.

Three people, including a woman, were injured and neighboring houses and parts of the two targeted areas sustained damages and experienced power outages due to the Israeli airstrikes on the two houses, according to the news agency.

On Saturday, warplanes from an unknown occupation bombed an agricultural land near the well-known Firas market in the middle of Gaza City.

In addition, Israeli airstrikes hit agricultural areas close to the Fallujah cemetery in the east of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip and another area east of Rafah in the south of Gaza Strip, but thankfully there were no casualties.

The Israeli offensive in Gaza has now resulted in 33 fatalities, including three females and six minors, and over 150 injuries, some of them critical.

Just hours after an Israeli airstrike on al-Nasr neighborhood in Gaza City claimed the lives of three Palestinians and wounded 10 more, a new round of aggression ensued. Reports suggest that a senior commander of al-Quds Brigades – the armed wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad – was among those martyred in the attack.

In retaliation for the destruction of residential homes in Gaza, the Islamic Jihad has promised to carry out attacks within the borders of Israel.

The Israeli government has been carrying out airstrikes in the Gaza Strip for multiple days, resulting in the deaths of several militant leaders in the besieged area.

In retaliation, factions of Palestinian resistance have fired strikes at Israeli cities and settlements.

According to the Israeli military, approximately 1,000 rockets have been launched from the Gaza Strip thus far.
