Hamas: Israel’s arrests cannot break the resistance in W. Bank

The Hamas Movement has affirmed that the Israeli detention of the group responsible for the recent shooting operation near Nablus is a desperate attempt that will not break or undermine the resistance in the West Bank.

In press remarks on Sunday, Hamas spokesman Abdul-Latif al-Qanu said that “the flame of resistance will continue glowing and confronting the terrorism of the occupation and its settlers.”

Spokesman Qanu reiterated his Movement’s condemnation of the Palestinian Authority (PA) security cooperation with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in the West Bank, calling on the PA leadership to sever all its security ties with the occupation state.

The spokesman conveyed his Movement’s tribute to “the resistance fighters and the revolutionary youths in the West Bank and Jerusalem for confronting the occupation and its arrogance with valor and steadfastness.”

He urged the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Jerusalem to continue clashing with the IOF and escalate all forms of resistance against the occupation.

The Israeli occupation army claimed on Sunday morning that its forces, in cooperation with the Shin Bet, arrested the Palestinians who carried out the recent shooting attack in Nablus that led to the death of a settler and wounded two others.
