Iran has stepped up its humanitarian efforts to help the victims of recent devastating avalanches in Afghanistan.

This huge donation has been sent as part of the assistance. The aid included warm cloths, blankets, medicine and food. The government of Iran has announced that they would always stand by Afghans and they would not hesitate in providing further aid to those affected.

And Kabul has extended its appreciation to the government of Iran for the humanitarian aid. Afghanistan’s Red Crescent praised Iran’s wise leadership, stressing that the aid represents symbol of solidarity and support to the families of victims.

Over 300 people died when deadly avalanches hit their homes.
Most of the casualties happened in Panjshir valley northeast of Kabul.
It is a small mountainous area with narrow villages in the middle. And when avalanches come, they take heavy toll on local villagers.

Those who survived the recent avalanches in the northeast of this country are desperately looking for help. And now the aid supplies sent by Tehran will soon be delivered to them to prevent a humanitarian crisis.
