Terrorists Suffer Major Losses in Syrian Armed Forces’ Attacks in Eastern Damascus

Syrian Army troops and Air Force in separate attacks targeted Jeish al-Islam’s bases and defense lines in Eastern Ghouta, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

The army soldiers targeted the gatherings and bases of Jeish al-Islam in the farms near Douma city, killing a number of militants and destroying their bases and vehicles.

The Syrian warplanes targeted the movements of a group of terrorists in al-Qaboun region and Eastern Ghouta and repelled their attack on government positions in a preemptive move.

The army’s artillery and missile units, for their part, targeted the gatherings of Faylaq al-Raham and Fatah al-Sham Front (the al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group previously known as the al-Nusra Front) in the Southern side of al-Qaboun region, inflicting casualties on a large number of the militants, and destroying their bases.

Fatah al-Sham and Fayalq al-Rahman retreated from the battlefield.

In the meantime, the army targeted and destroyed a workshop of Liwa Sham al-Rasoul near the town of Bebeila East of Damascus city that was used for manufacturing arms and ammunition.

In relevant development in the province on Friday, Syrian Army soldiers stormed Jeish al-Islam’s positions in Eastern Ghouta, capturing more lands between two small but key towns in the region.

The army soldiers inflicted major losses on the Jeish al-Islam militants and captured approximately 700 meters of territory between Hawsh al-Dhawahra and al-Shifouniyeh, as they managed to split-up these Jeish al-Islam towns from one another.

The Syrian army men began their attack from the nearby villages of Hawsh Nasr and Mayda’a, striking Jeish al-Islam’s defense lines with heavy artillery shelling before storming al-Dawahra and Midaani.
