40th edition of Iran’s national Quran competition underway

40th edition of Iran’s national Quran competition kicked off as of SaturdayJuly 1st, with Quran reciters in attendance, Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The northwestern city of Orumiyeh, West Azarbaijan province, will mount the national stage of the competition’s 40^th edition.

The event will be held in the categories of memorization of the Holy Quran (memorization of 5, 10, and 20 Juzes (parts) and the entire Quran), recitation (Tahqiq and Tarteel), memorization of Hadiths, Quran interpretation, choral recitation, Adhan (call to prayer), etc.

Organizes the Quranic event annually, Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization try to promoting Quran teachings and instructions, fostering related activities and identifying talents in this arena.
