Supreme Leader demands UN inquiry into deaths of Iranian pilgrims, blood money

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday demanded an international and Islamic inquiry into deaths of Iranian pilgrims and blood money the Saudis must pay to the families who lost their loved ones.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with the families of martyrs of Mina tragedy and Masjid al-Haram, Saudi Arabia.

‘Saudi wicked evil progeny does not deserve to run the holy shrines,’ the Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said when His Eminency took part in the meeting of the bereaved families.

Negligence and incapability of the Saudis created such a tragedy proving their illegibility to run the holy shrines, the Supreme Leader said.

‘If they tell the truth and have no fault in creating the tragedy, they should allow an international and Islamic inquiry into the stages which led to the tragedy,’ Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei  said.

They Supreme Leader expressed grief at the deaths of Iranian pilgrims in Mina tragedy, saying that they succumbed to their injuries with the thirsty lips and under burning sun. rendering the hearts of every human being.

The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei  said that the tragedy of Iranian pilgrims must be looked into from different political, social, ethical and religious dimensions.

The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei  prayed to God Almighty to bestow peace and blessings upon souls of the Iranian martyrs and patience on their families.

Martyrdom of some seven thousand Haj pilgrims in Mina tragedy led to serious criticism of the other countries for keeping silent toward the human tragedy, the Supreme Leader said.

‘The silence of governments, Ulema, political activists, intellectuals and the talented people of the Muslim World about martyrdom of some seven thousand innocent pilgrims should be regarded as ‘a big misfortune for Islamic Ummah’. In fact lack of sensitivity vis-a-vis the Mina tragedy is a momentous loss to the Muslim World,’ the Supreme Leader said.

Refusal of Saudis to make apology indicates the magnitude of obscenity and indecency, the Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei  said.

‘If they have not perpetrated the massacre in Mina deliberately, their negligence and failure to adopt necessary measures account for crime and brings international responsibility for the government,’ the Supreme Leader said.

The Iranian people have stood against ignorance and wrongdoing of the Saudis bravely and proceed with their stand having roots in holy Quran and proudly express their stand and wish other nations and countries to bring the Saudis to their senses, Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei  said.

The Supreme Leader challenged silence of the so-called advocates of human rights on Mina tragedy as questionable.

The Saudi government is responsible for negligence in the stages led to the massacre of the pilgrims and keeping silent toward martyrdom of some seven thousands innocent pilgrims truly reveal the real identity of the so-called advocates of human rights, the Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei  said.

One year after the tragedy, the existing documents and evidences will reveal all aspects of the massacre, the Supreme Leader said.

The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei highlighted the crimes against humanity and war crimes perpetrated by the Saudis against the Yemeni Muslims, saying that the shameless Saudi regime wining support of the US, have adamantly stood against the Muslims and is massacring innocent people in Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Bahrain and to the same reason, the US and other supporters of Riyadh have shares in the crimes of Saudis.

The fact is that Saudis are hated in the Muslim World and those knowingly or unknowingly are at odd with Muslims should disavow the Saudis and their masters as the US and Britain, the Supreme Leader said.
