Syrian Minister of Information: Morse’s decision is not important for Damascus

51bdaf8d483e8Syria condemns the ‘irresponsible’ Egypt decision to cut diplomatic ties.

The Syrian Information Minister Omran Zoubi responds on Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, noting that “there is no impotency in the words of Mercy” and we hope to announce the closure of the Israeli embassy but such leaders are uncountable ones in such positions.

Zoubi stressed that “the project of religious takfirist is part of the Zionist project”

Zoubi adds that Damascus is a good distinction between the role of Egypt in the Arab and between Morsi decisions pointing out that the Syrian government not interested in closing the embassy “because it is virtually non-functioning due to the Egyptian government’s position” from Syria.

Zoubi states that “any one will carry arms against the state, its duty is to fight him because the logic says either there is or there is not a state,” adding that “80 to 90% of the fighters in Syria are non-Syrians.”

This comes after Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi’s speech on Saturday during which he announced his country’s decision to close the Syrian embassy in Cairo and withdraw the Egyptian envoy from Damascus.

In addition, Morsi urged international powers to impose a no-fly zone over the Syrian territory.

In his speech he condemned Hezbollah, the Islamic militant group based in Lebanon. Hezbollah fighters have been reportedly fighting on the side of the pro-regime troops against rebels in the ongoing civil war in Syria.
