Lebanon is awaiting the Big Bang

Lebanon has no safe area that is kept away from tension or bombings, according to official estimates. The conflicts are extending and moving from one area to another, and this is very easy to happen in a country that has a mixture of politics, and a sectarian and doctrinal distribution.
Lebanon’s geographical area is no more than 10,452 square kilometers, and those kilometers are considered few in terms of the State’s concept of areas. However, the Lebanese areas are overlapped and are capable of embracing all kinds of tension coming from areas that are apart geographically someway, paving at the same time the way to cut the areas apart and to create hotbeds of security tension.

This scene has been recently experienced by Lebanon in more than one area starting from Tripoli, the capital of the north, reaching to the Bekaa area and finally to the southern capital Sidon. Of course the capital was not kept away from the accounts of those who are bombing, since its southern suburb was within the accounts of the mobile liquidation. At each intersection of these tensions, Lebanon was as a whole kept in readiness and was monitoring to see what would happen then! Yet, what is certain here is that the movable series has started and has never been stopped.

This conviction can never be solved in Lebanon from the logic of unconsciousness, for the Lebanese people are perhaps the most people in the region who read and follow politics and understand how things expand and develop. They realize that the ridiculous acts will not be solved in a country that faced all kinds of political, regional and local fighting, where all the cards are intertwined therein. It is influenced by the conflict and the region where it is rotating in its orbit dramatically, and this vulnerability has been increased with the presence of two movements that are wrestling in Lebanon since 2005, the year of assassinating former Prime Minister Rafik Al-Hariri.

All this leads the Lebanese people to reach one site which is to explore the timing of the big bang, for the possibility of a bang is no longer questioned, since it already took place in their eyes though it seems to be until the time linked to the politics on the one hand and to the decisions of the Lebanese army that is actually fenced in the trap of everyone on the other hand. They became searching for what is beyond a tension here or there, awaiting for the day of the big bang according to them. These concerns have led the Lebanese army to address appeals to all parties to understand the nature and the seriousness of what is happening on the ground and to renounce the language of sectarian incitement that its path have reached to more than one place and began to affect more than one Lebanese square, opening the way for fronts of civil fighting that has been discarded by the Lebanese 24 years ago, and they do not recall it today, but only to forget its bitterness.

However, between the wishes of the political forces and the calls of the Lebanese army, the winds of tamper look strong to the extent that its unrestrained aspects foretell catastrophic consequences, in a country where weapons are being widespread and are possessed by its people without exception, and even possessed by those coming to it from outside its borders, whether being permitted by the state or not. Also, its guests at home inside the Palestinian camps possess such weapons, and the State knows before all the seriousness of what is inside those camps. Hence, all this opens door in front of a storm, anytime it starts on it would forgive and/or save no one in its path.
