Tatar Minister Stresses Expansion of Sports Ties with Iran

Tatarstan’s Minister of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism Rafis Burganov underlined his country’s enthusiasm for the further expansion of sports ties with Iran, calling it a good way to develop bilateral relations between the two countries in other fields.
“We are trying to continue and strengthen sports ties between Iran and Tatarstan,” Burganov told FNA on Tuesday.

“We try to expand our ties through sports and we send our athletes to Iran and host the Iranian athletes in our country,” he added.

In relevant remarks in December 2011, Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanof underlined Kazan’s willingness to strengthen cooperation with Iran in all fields.
