Zionist regime to close Ibrahimi Mosque on ‘The Night of Qadr’
Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) decided to close the Ibrahimi Mosque to Muslims on the 27th of Ramadan, which corresponds to The Night of Qadr to make the way for Jewish settlers to celebrate one of their festivals.
Director General of Endowments in al-Khalil, Tayseer Abu Sneineh, confirmed that the occupation authorities informed the Endowments department of its decision to close Ibrahimi Mosque to Muslim worshipers, and of their intention to clear its corridors and yards for the settlers on Monday, corresponding to August 5th, under the pretext of celebrating the Jewish festival.
It is noteworthy that Israeli occupation used to close Ibrahimi Mosque and the surrounding streets ten days throughout the year under the pretext of Jewish holidays. On these days, Muslims are banned from entering it in favor of the Jewish settlers.
The Night of Qadr (Lailat ul Qadr) is a special night that occurs every year in Ramadan and represents a golden opportunity for Muslims to gain blessings and forgiveness from Allah.
