Iran police chief’s term extended
The Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Opressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei has extended the term of the current Iranian police chief for another two years.
Ayatollah Khamenei issued a decree on Sunday extending Esmail Ahmadi-Moqaddam’s term as Iran’s police chief.
The Leader also appointed Akbar Ebrahimzadeh as the deputy head of Iran Armed Forces’ General Staff for Basij affairs.
Ebrahzadeh replaces Mohammad-Baqer Zolqadr.
