Worldwide protests against US intentions to launch military strike on Syria continue unabated

20130912-112223_h502099The protests against the US intentions to launch a military aggression on Syria continued with an unabated zeal, with their scope broadening to reach new capitals and cities around the world.

Members of the Syrian community worldwide, along with peace activities and supporters have been taking to the streets to slam the US belligerent policies and voice support to Syria against any potential military action.

Protest in Lattakia against launching aggression on Syria

With the participation of youth and political figures, a protest was staged in Lattkia city in condemnation of U.S. threats to launch aggression on Syria.

The participants denounced the practices of the armed terrorist groups rejecting the U.S. pressure to launch aggression on Syria and appreciating the stances of the Syria’s friendly countries.

Protest in Kiev in solidarity with Syria

A protest was organized outside the US embassy in Ukraine in condemnation of the US threats against Syria.

The protestors waved the flags of Syria, Ukraine, Russia and China, and held banners slamming the US threats to launch an aggression against Syria.

The speeches delivered stressed that Syria is being targeted with a foreign aggression with internal tools and terrorists sent to Syria from all over the world.

Members of the Syrian community in Kiev, Ukrainian party leaders and representatives of NGOs took part in the protest.

Arab NGOs urge U.S. Congress and French Parliament to reject aggression on Syria

Some 666 civil society organizations (CSOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and figures from 13 Arab countries urged the U.S. Congress and the French Parliament not to approve an aggression on Syria, being planted by the USA and the West, and considered them as a violation of the international law.

The legal participating organizations expressed in a statement, SANA got a copy of, their deep concern over banging the drums of a military aggression on Syria by the executive administrations in the USA and France, which violates the UN Charter and the international law.

The organizations, from Egypt, Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Yemen, Lebanon, Mauritania, Sudan, Bahrain and Morocco, condemned the use of chemical weapons in Syria, whoever responsible for the crime whether in Khan al-Asal, the Eastern Ghouta or any other place.

They called on the UN expert team to continue investigating into the crime of using chemical weapons.

The statement urged the UN and the international community to work on disarmament Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) from the region to become a free nuclear, chemical or biological zone.

It also called on all relevant bodies to hasten holding the International Conference on Syria in Geneva and facilitating the inter-Syrian solution through dialogue away from killing civilians and armed violence in a way that foils schemes of fragmenting the country and makes the Syrians choose their longed-for democratic governments and civil state through honest and free elections.

The organizations in the statement also hailed the Jordanian parliamentarians who urged the Jordanian government not to allow using the Jordanian territories as a platform for any aggressive acts against Syria, besides all Arab and Western moves similar to that, in addition to their rejection to a military action against Syria.

The statement concluded by calling on the supreme executive administrations of the states seeking to launch an aggression on Syria to take a heed to reason and find peaceful outlets for the crisis in Syria.

Arab figures and bodies express condemnation of U.S. threats and interference in Syria

Palestinian bodies and popular federations and unions organized a protest sit-in in front of the U.S. Consulate in the occupied Jerusalem , expressing condemnation of the U.S.-Western threats to Syria.

The participants stressed their solidarity with Syria, its people and army in the face of the U.S.-Western threats of aggression on Syria, hoisting the Syrian and Palestinian flags and banners that call for preventing a war against Syria and stopping backing terrorism by western and regional states in it.

The participants stressed that any aggression on Syria is an aggression on the Arab Nation and Palestine because the Palestinian issue has always been Syria’s top issue.

In the USA, the Syrian and Lebanese communities organized, in cooperation with the Syrian-American Forum and the Syrian Social Nationalist Party, a protest stand in front of the White House and the U.S. Congress.

The stand came in coincidence with the date set for voting on launching a U.S.-Western aggression on Syria to practice pressures on the Congress to reject this move.

The protesters hoisted the Syrian flag and banners that condemn the potential U.S. aggression.

They delivered speeches in front of the White House stressing rejection of aggression and chanted slogans that denounce this move, condemning the U.S. administration that fabricate lies as what it did with Iraq.

In Sana’a, Yemeni Conference for Anti-Dependency and Foreign Interference in the Arab Nation stressed absolute rejection of all forms of interference in Syria, expressing popular solidarity with it in the face of the world evil axis in the rejoin.

In a statement, the Conference called for unifying ranks and standing with the Syrian Arab people and being cautious of the U.S. talking of stopping interference in Syria’s affairs.

Moreover, a Jordanian delegation that include Pan-Arab, Leftist, clan and religious figures paid a visit to the Syrian Embassy in Amman.

They expressed solidarity of the Jordanian Arab people with Syria and rejection of hurling Jordan in the U.S.-Western-Gulf-Ottoman-Zionist aggression on Syria, and making it a passage for that.

In Cairo, Freedoms Committee at the Bar Association in Egypt organized, in cooperation with political activists, a protest sit-in in front of the Association in the Egyptian Capital where they expressed the U.S. threats to Syria and condemned the utter interference in its affairs.

Massive protest in Argentina against the US threats of launching aggression on Syria

A massive protest took place in the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, against the US threats of launching aggression on Syria.

The protest was organized by Argentine parties and powers, human rights organizations and Syrian community in Argentina.

The protest set off from Italy Square to the US embassy building where the participants chanted slogans against the US potential aggression on Syria, raising placards saying ” USA is a land of terrorism.”

They called on the Argentine government, as a current Security Council President, to spare no efforts against issuing any potential resolution on Syria in the UN, condemning the US and its allies who support the armed terrorist groups in Syria.
