Iran determined to improve Lebanon ties
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has expressed Tehran’s determination to strengthen relations with Lebanon.
According to Press TV, in a Monday meeting with Lebanon’s Prime Minister Najib Mikati in Munich, Zarif said the achievements made in talks between Tehran and the six major world powers provided Iran with facilities to increase its foreign trade ties.
Mikati, for his part, threw his country’s weight behind nuclear talks between Iran and the six powers.
During the meeting between the Iranian foreign minister and Lebanese premier, which
h was held on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, the two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interests as well as regional and international issues.
Zarif and Mikati also discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the ongoing crisis in Syria.
