Sheikh Zakzaky speaks on the Occultation of Imam Mahdi(AJ)
Sheikh Zakzaky speaks on occultation during Nisf Shaban celebration. The Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the Leadership of Sheikh Sayyed Ibraheem Zakzaky celebrated the Birthday anniversary of the awaited Savoiur of humanity Imam Al-Mahdi(AJ) at Fudiyyah Islamic Center (F.I.C) Zaria on Monday the 15th of Shaában 1431 (26/7/10) which also coincides with the Birthday of Sheikh Zakzaky.
The Leader congratulated the gathering on the auspicious birthday of the Imam Muntazir, (the awaited) who was born 255 AH at Samarra, Iraq to the family of pure ones Al-Imam Hasan Askary bin Imam Ali Al-Hadi (alaihimus salam).
Sheikh Zakzaky explained that the Imam has two forms of ghayba (occultation): The short Occultation and the Long one. during the Short occultation, his followers used to communicate with him through his four appointed representatives.
Sheikh Zakzaky further elaborated that during Imam’s long occultation Shia should follow a general Na’ib (representative). The general Na’ib is the scholar who attend to high degree in knowledge, piety and Zuhd and appointed by the same scholars with these qualities.
He also explained what Shia are expected to do during the long occultation which includes supplications and ziyarat.
The programme was attended by thousands of Muslims from different works of life. Also in attendance were friends and family members of Sheikh Zakzaky.
