Syrian Army Kills Dozens of Gunmen in Latakia, Aleppo
Syrian army units killed on Thursday thirteen gunmen and destroyed five vehicles during a large-scale operation against terrorists’ gatherings in Bustan al-Qaser in Aleppo city.
The body of terrorist Amer Skeif, nicknamed al-Sheikh, was identified among the killed terrorists, state-run SANA news agency reported.
Other army units killed or injured many terrorists during targeting their gatherings in Bab al-Nasser, al-Holwanieh, al-Marjeh, al-Sakhour, al-Maisar, al-Enzarat, al-Zerbeh, Azaz, Rasm al-Abboud, al-Shweikha, Mayer and Karm al-Kabal in the province.
In Daraa, army units foiled an armed terrorist group’s attempt to infiltrate from the area of Bilal al-Habashi toward a checkpoint near the main city, killing all its members and destroying a heavy machinegun they were using in their attacks.
Army units also destroyed many cars, killing all the terrorists driving them on Inkhel-Samlin road, and a gathering of terrorists’ car to the north of Inkhel village.
Terrorists were also targeted during military operations against their gatherings on Attman-Tafas road, near al-Mahja town, in al-Naimeh, near Zamrin and in the towns of in Samlin and Attman in the province.
Other army units foiled infiltration attempts from al-Herak and Attman towns towards military checkpoints, killing many terrorists and injuring others.
In the northern countryside of Lattakia, 23 terrorists were killed and many others were injured during army operations against their dens in the villages of al-Rabia, al-Moeitmeh and Saqieh.
The bodies of the terrorists As’ad Zreiq, a leader of Al-Nusra Front terrorist group, Ahmad Balsha and explosive expert Ahmad al-Sous were killed during the operations.
The army units also destroyed a mortar shell storage, three machinegun-equipped vehicles and an armored vehicle.
Seven terrorists were killed in the villages of Deir-Hanna, Ketf al-Roumman and al-Qasab in the coastal province, in addition to destroying a vehicle loaded with explosives, three machinegun-equipped vehicles and a number of armored cars.
In Lattakia, units of the armed forces targeted several gatherings for terrorists in the towns of al-Qantara, al-Qasab, al-Hamrat, Drousha, Deir Hanna and Ghmam in the northern countryside.
Many of the terrorists were killed and injured, while a mortar, a heavy machine gun mounted on a car and a number of cars loaded with heavy weapons and ammunition were destroyed.
In Idlib province, army units targeted terrorists’ gatherings in the villages of Maarzaf, Nahleh, Bennish and Bakfaloun, killing many terrorists and injuring others.
A military source in Homs told SANA that army units killed many terrorists and injured others in the villages of Om Sahrij, Abo Hawadid and Kharijeh in the province.
The source added that other army units also targeted terrorists’ gatherings in the villages of al-Nasserieh and Kafarlaha, killing many terrorists, injuring others and destroying a vehicle equipped with a heavy machinegun in Om Sharshouh.
