At least 10 Palestinians, including six children, have been killed in the latest Israeli airstrikes on the besieged Gaza Strip, shortly after a temporary ceasefire came to an end.

According to local reports, three children from one family were killed in an Israeli attack on the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City on Thursday. Three other members of the same family also suffered injuries in the strike.

A four-year old Palestinian child also lost his life due to injuries he sustained during an Israeli deadly onslaught on the city.

Elsewhere, in Khan Yunis, another four-year old child was killed in an Israeli attack.

Medics also said three Palestinians, including a four-year-old child and a 15-year-old boy, were killed in an Israeli tank shelling in eastern Gaza Strip.

Two people were also killed in another Israeli airstrike in Beit Hanoun in the northeast of the Gaza Strip.

The latest Israeli airstrikes came after a temporary humanitarian truce between Tel Aviv and the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas ended.

Palestinian fighters also launched rockets at Israel in retaliation for the airstrikes. The rockets were fired on the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv, Ashkelon and Ashdod.

The death toll from 10 days of Israeli attacks against the Palestinians in the coastal enclave has reached 240, with more than 1,770 others injured.

Since July 8, the Israeli regime has struck more than 1,800 targets across Gaza, which is home to around 1.8 million Palestinians.

Gaza has been blockaded since 2007, a situation that has caused a decline in the standard of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment, and unrelenting poverty.
