Iraqi forces must chase fleeing ISIL terrorists
Press TV has conducted an interview with Nabil Mikhail, a professor at George Washington University, to discuss Iraqi army’s operation in Salahuddin as the forces backed by volunteer fighters press ahead with a large-scale offensive to drive back the ISIL Takfiri terrorists.
The political commentator says advancement of Iraqi forces is significant as it is taking place without any particular assistance from the US-led coalition purportedly fighting ISIL.
The analyst also notes that the Iraqi forces should prevent the defeated and fleeing ISIL terrorists from crossing into Syria.
Mikhail concludes by saying that the ongoing operations on several battle fronts across Iraq have united various echelons of society including Shia Muslims, Sunni tribes, Christians and Kurds.
