Al-Qaeda Will Be Dissolved to Strengthen ISIS
Al-Qaeda is to be dissolved so members can join the “Islamic State jihadist group”, reported Pan-Arab daily Al-Hayat.
It said group leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, a former Egyptian surgeon, intended to disband local terrorist cells to release them from their loyalty oath so they can join otherterrorist groups.
Auman Dain, a former Al-Qaeda militant and now a collaborator with British intelligence, said Syria’s Al-Nusra Front, an Al-Qaeda affiliate, told Ahrar al-Sham and other Islamist groups in Syria that it wants to leave the terrorist network.
It claimed the organisation would announce its dissolution when Osama bin Laden’s successor stepped down.
