‘PKK raid’ kills Turkish soldier in Silvan, Diyarbakir

A Turkish soldier has lost his life in a raid blamed on the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir.
Sergeant Mehmet Ali Sarak, 25, was killed after militants allegedly opened fire on him in the Silvan district of Diyarbakir on Wednesday morning.
Following the attack, police forces began an operation to track down the assailants.
