Syrian Army Storms ISIL Positions in Deir Ezzur, Kills 25 Terrorists
The ISIL concentration centers near Deir Ezzur airport, al-Mariyeh and al-Jafra came under massive attacks of the Syrian soldiers, which left 25 terrorists dead and many more wounded.
The militants’ hardware also sustained heavy damage in the army offensives.
Sources said on Tuesday that the Syrian Army fended off a large-scale attack of the ISIL terrorists on the key airbase of Deir Ezzur and killed scores of them in its counter-attack.
Tens of the ISIL militants were killed and their military vehicles and equipment were destroyed in the government forces’ counter-assault.
The Syrian army troops, defending the airbase, have fortified their positions and have closed any infiltration paths into the Deir Ezzur airbase, the sources went on to say.
