Syrian Army Takes More Heights Southwest of Homs, Hama against ISIL
The ISIL left behind tens of the dead or wounded members and fled its positions in Khanzir mountain under the heavy offensive of the Syrian soldiers.
The ISIL Takfiri terrorists’ military hardware also sustained major damage in the attacks.
In relevant developments in the Central province on Monday, the Syrian Army troops and National Defense Forces (NDF) struck the ISIL positions around a key oil-rich region in the Northeastern side of the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) and gained the upper hand in the battlefield.
“The Syrian government forces carried out a fresh round of anti-ISIL operations near Mistadura gas field in the Northwestern side of the village of Arak,” the sources said, adding, “The army resolved to push the ISIL back from the gas fields whose products have been sold in black market by the Takfiri terrorists.”
“The Syrian and Russian Air Forces, in several joint combat flights, targeted the ISIL strongholds in Mistadura gas field before the ground forces’ offensive to weaken the defense abilities of the terrorists as much as possible,” they went on to say.
