Sri Lanka calls for implementation of deals with Iran
Sri Lankan President, Mahindra Rajapakse, said that his country wants expediting implementation of projects already agreed upon with Tehran.
Rajapakse in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki on Thursday urged implementation of Sapugaskanda oil refinery and Uma Oya Multipurpose Development Project as well as enforcement of the electricity and water supply project and export of Iranian medicine to Sri Lanka.
He also wanted Iran’s partnership in de-mining the fields north of his country, the Islamic republic news agency reported.
