Hamas holds mourning ceremony to honor Martyr Qassam fighter
A mourning ceremony was held by the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, late on Thursday evening, to pay homage to the Martyr Qassam fighter Fadi Jehad Hamdan.
Hundreds of Palestinians joined a mourning ceremony for the deceased Qassam fighter Fadi Jehad Hamdan outside al-Rahma Mosque, in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza Strip.
Speaking during the ceremony, ex-prisoner Eyad Abu Founoun said: “Fadi’s blood and that of the other Palestinian fighters will only make the Palestinian resistance stronger.”
Abu Founoun hailed Hamdan’s sense of self-abnegation and vowed that the Palestinian resistance will do whatever it takes to release prisoners from Israeli jails.
He further harked back to the details of a videotaped sniper operation carried out by Hamdan on January 15, 2008 in Khan Younis against an Israeli settler.
Hamas leadership in Khan Younis further paid tribute to Hamdan’s family.
