Syrian Army, Hezbollah foil Al-Nusra infiltration attempt near Lebanon’s border
The Syrian Army and the Lebanese Shi’ite paramilitary group, Hezbollah, have foiled an al-Nusra infiltration attempt.
The pro-Syrian government forces discovered the terrorist fighters attempting to sneak close to a militrary check point in Jaroud Flita area in western Qalamoun, near the Syria-Lebanon border.
The attackers were spotted as they were traveling towards the checkpoint.
Pro-government forces targeted, killed and wounded dozens of terrorist fightersm including a field commander. The failed attack and powerful assault by the the Syrian Army and Hezbollah forced al-Nusra to retreat back, ruining their plan to take the checkpoint.
