Sayyed Nasrallah: Project ‘Greater Israel’ failed
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said recent constructions in border areas with Lebanon are indicative of failure of the Zionist regime in implementing the projects of ‘Greater Israel’ slated to extend from Niles to Euphrates.
Sayyed Nasrallah made the remarks in a televised speech in Beirut on Thursday evening to address a ceremony held to mark the first anniversary of martyrdom of the Resistance commander Mustafa Badreddin who was killed in an artillery attack launched by the takfiri groups in 2016 on one of Hezbollah sites near Damascus airport.
The ceremony was also attended by Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali.
The Hezbollah leader pointed to various issues in his speech including the Zionist regime’s moves in borders with Lebanon, hunger strike of Palestinian prisoners of war in the Zionist Israeli jails and security and political developments in Syria.
Sayyed Nasrallah said that construction of wall on the borders with Lebanon ‘is an admission of Lebanon’s crushing victory and the admission of Israel’s defeat as well as falling apart of the ‘Greater Israel’ project.
The Zionist occupation army had taken numerous measures on the border, but it later discovered that their security strategy was fragile, so they decided to build a high cement fence, Nasrallah said.
He added that “When ‘Israel hides behind fences, it exposes its reality of weakness.”
Sayyed Nasrallah maintained that the Zionist fence also indicates that Lebanon has defeated ‘The Great Israel’ as the Zionist entity is afraid of any war with Hezbollah.
‘A few days ago, an ordinary Lebanese citizen managed to cross the border and advance 10 kilometers into the Palestinian territory. That indicates all measures taken by Israel in the region was futile and for the same reason it decided to erect walls on the borders.’
Sayyed Nasrallah added that the Greater Israel with a meaning of powerful and despotic regime which can do everything has ended. Israel which hides behind the walls is a poor Israel.
‘Fences will never protect the Israelis from Holy God and His men,’ said the Hezbollah leader.
Israel ‘is scared and worried of any future confrontation as it knows resistance movement does not talk nonsense and knows that any future conflict could take place inside the occupied Palestinian territories,’ Sayyed Nasrallah said.
Elsewhere in his speech, Sayyed Nasrallah expressed solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners of war who have gone on hunger strike since 25 days ago, deploring that the entire world has remained silent in this respect.
Secretary general of Hezbollah also welcomed any ceasefire in Syria with the approval of the country’s leaders, saying, “We are not a party in security and political negotiations but we will throw weight behind the Syrian leaders in these decision-makings.”
Contrary to the imagination of some who cherish delusions, Syrian allies are united now more than any other time, Sayyed Nasrallah said.
