PHOTOS: Syrian Army captures a dozen building blocks in east Damascus suburb
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their large-scale offensive in the eastern suburbs of Damascus, Thursday, striking the jihadist rebel defenses inside Jobar and ‘Ayn Tarma.
Led by the 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army managed to capture a dozen building blocks and several trenches near the ‘Ayn Tarma Meat Market.
In addition to their territorial gains, the Syrian Arab Army also seized a large cache of weapons from the Faylaq Al-Rahman militants, while also inflicting heavy damage on the latter’s defenses.
On Friday, the Syrian Arab Army continued their operations in the ‘Ayn Tarma Triangle, where they scored new gains after a series of intense firefights with the jihadist rebels.
