Iran’s Larijani felicitates Eid al-Adha to Muslim counterparts

 

 Iran’s Parl. Speaker in messages to his Muslim counterparts on the occasion of Eid al-Adha called for constructive talks among parliaments of Islamic states as an effective way out of current regional crises.

“Strengthening the atmosphere of effective and constructive dialog among parliaments of Muslim countries in today’s critical situation of the Islamic World has a significant role in resolving regional crises and combating extremism and terrorism,” Larijani said in his separate messages to a number of parliament speakers and political and religious figures of the Islamic world.

In his message of felicitations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha which falls this year on Sep. 1, Larijani highlighted the need for advancing stable bilateral, regional and multilateral parliamentary relations in order to achieve new orders based on peace and security among the Islamic Ummah.

Larijani further voiced Iran’s Parliament support for any measures aimed at strengthening the spirit of Muslim friendship and unity, and expanding cooperation among Islamic countries.

“I deeply believe that the current issues of the Islamic World can be resolved through joint efforts and the Muslim Ummah will return to its proper position on the international scene,” he stressed.

Eid al-Adha, known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is one of the holiest Muslim celebrations that represents the end of Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.
