Israel’s refusal to free 125 prisoners blocking Shalit deal

Osama Al-Muzaini, a senior Hamas figure in charge of the negotiations over the Zionist soldier, said that the Zionist’s reluctance to release a group of 125 Palestinians is holding up a prisoner exchange deal.

However, he said talks were continuing.

The Palestinian resistance factions has clarified several times that what blocking the deal is the Zionist entity not them.

In previous time, the charged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that he did not intend to intervene in this period in the file of Shalit, and he has asked to extend his mandate for another two weeks to give a chance for Olmert to end the file of Shalit.

The Zionist entity had formed a committee to find ways to put pressure on Hamas prisoners in the Zionist jails.

Some of the actions taken by the Committee are depriving prisoners of visits by their families and preventing the establishment of workshops within the prison and other various services, in order to pressure Hamas leadership to soften their own terms regarding the deal.
