Syrian Army captures over 50km2 in southern Idlib this weekend
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) had a big weekend in the southern countryside of Idlib, capturing over ten towns in a matter of 48 hours.
Led by their elite Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army kicked off the weekend by capturing six towns from the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and Jaysh Al-‘Izza.
On Saturday, the Syrian Army scored another large advance in the southern countryside of Idlib, resulting in the obstruction of the jihadist supply line from Khan Sheikhoun and Sinjar.
All-in-all, the Syrian Army managed to capture over 50 square kilometers of territory in southern Idlib this weekend.
As a result of this advance, the Syrian Arab Army is now positioned at the outskirts of Sinjar, which they should capture in the next 24 hours.
