Syrian Army sends reinforcements for major battle in Idlib

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has sent more reinforcements to the Idlib front after lifting the siege on the strategic vehicle management base in eastern Damascus.

According to a report from the Syrian military, the Qalamoun Shield forces of the 3rd Division have been redeployed to the Idlib-Hama axis after successfully beating back the Islamist rebels.

Prior to their arrival in eastern Damascus, the Qalamoun Shield soldiers were aiding the Tiger Forces in their battle to capture the strategic Abu Dhuhour Military Airport.

More reinforcements are expected to head towards Idlib in the coming days, as the Syrian Army intensifies their offensive to capture this base.
