Commander: Enemy Forgetting Military Option, Targeting People’s Religion, Culture, Livelihood, Health

Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami said the enemy does not anymore think of military attack on Iran, stressing that it has focused all its efforts against the inspiring spirit of the Islamic establishment, namely, the people’s religion, culture, livelihood and health.

“The military war has been excluded from the enemy’s options,” Salami said on Wednesday, and added, “It has targeted the inspiring spirit of our establishment; the people, the people’s religion, our culture, livelihood and health.”

He went on to say that the Iranian nation’s steadfastness will result in the obliteration of the enemy, stressing that the enemy is in decline like sunset.

“We will stand firm till the end. The end is the annihilation of the enemy. Basij is also continuing this path to defend the lofty values of the nation under the guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution,” the commander noted.

In relevant remarks in September, Major General Hossein Salami said the US has become rotten internally and isolated externally, and asked Iranian people not to be worried about American threats.

“The United States is now rotten from inside and isolated from outside,” Salami said while calling on Iranian people not to be concerned about the US threats.

He made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony on Monday September 21 to commemorate over one million war veterans during eight years of Sacred Defense.

Pointing to the US President Donald Trump’s remarks to strike Iran “1000 times greater in magnitude” in case Iran threatens any of the US interests, Salami said the US has lost its symbols, and even the American people are now chanting “Death to America”.

“American people are defacing iconic statues in the US and burning the American flag,” he added.
