In a statement on Friday, the IRGC Ground Force’s Quds Base said the “armed outlaws and mercenaries of the global arrogance” who had taken the lives of two IRGC forces in Zahedan have been killed.
According to the statement, a notorious outlaw and two of his accomplices who had upset security in the country’s southeastern areas and took the lives of the two IRGC forces in the latest criminal act have been killed in a surprise operation.
The two IRGC servicemen were martyred on December 25 as they were carrying out an operation against the armed outlaws in Zahedan.
In July 2018, anti-revolutionary terrorists attacked a border post of the Hamzeh Seyed al-Shohada Base in the western province of Kurdistan, killing 11 forces of the base.
The IRGC is tasked with protecting the country’s northwestern and southeastern borders.
