No country in the world was capable of overthrowing Syrian President al-Assad

Head of the Free Patriotic Movement Michel Aoun said that no country in the world was capable of overthrowing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad because all these countries have their own problems and their people’s would not allow for new wars.

The fall of Bashar Assad would endanger the Christians in Syria and beyond because that would lead to the emergence of a fundamentalist regime in the country, he warned.

Syria has been grappled with unrest which has left hundreds killed ever since mid-March, when demonstrations erupted both against and in support of Assad’s government.

US and Israel-backed gangs are responsible for the deaths and are the driving factor behind the unrest in the country.

The Syrian government says that the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country. The country’s state TV has also broadcast reports showing seized weapons caches and confessions by terrorist elements describing how they obtained arms from foreign sources.

At least 700 security personnel have lost their lives battling against foreign-backed armed gangs.
