Paraguay keen on development of relations with Iran: Speaker

Asuncion is interested in development of relations with Tehran, Paraguay’s Parliament Speaker said on Tuesday.
He made the remark in an interview with IRNA on the sidelines of his visit to the mausoleum of founder of the Islamic Republic late Imam Khomeini in southern Tehran.
Victor Bogado referred to the formation of a parliamentart friendship group between Tehran and Asuncion and underscored his country’s willingness to expand relations with Iran in various fields including economy.
“Iran has good technological potentials,” he said in reference to his visit to the Pardis Technology Park.
Pardis Technology Park is based in Pardis, a satellite city 20 kilometers from the Tehran.
Paraguay is a member of the Non-Aligned Movement, which has extensive bilateral economic relationship with Iran.
Bogado noted that the 5th International Conference on the Palestinian Intifada was a historical move towards making a united front in support of the oppressed people of Palestine.
The 5th International Conference on the Palestinian Intifada with participation of parliamentary delegations, headed by dignitaries, including several speakers, leading political figures and scholars from 50 Islamic and non-Islamic countries as well as leaders of several Palestinian groups opened in Tehran Saturday morning and ended Sunday evening.
The two-day conference focused on the motto of “Palestine, a land only for Palestinians”.
